The mosque, also known as “Instituto Cultural Islámico y Mezquita de CĂłrdoba”; is located in the city of CĂłrdoba, Argentina. It was inaugurated in 1984 and has approximately 360m2. The building was built on a narrow lot and is flush with the sidewalk. The facade is clad in stone and has a single minaret. The symmetry of the façade is realized by the minaret which is aligned with the main entrance, flanked by a sequence of warhead-shaped windows.
The mosque has two floors. Its library contains more than 50 books in Arabic on Islam, some of which have been translated into Spanish. In addition, the mosque has classrooms for learning Arabic and the prayer hall on the top floor. Men enter through a staircase leading to the front, and women enter through another staircase leading to the back.
