Keizerstraat Mosque

Information

The Suriname Islamic Society (SIV) is an Islamic society in Suriname with its headquarters at the Keizerstraat Mosque in Paramaribo. It has twelve affiliated sub-associations. The main house of worship of the SIV, and also the most prominent mosque in the Suriname, is the Mosque Keizerstraat.The combination of the mosque right next to the Jewish Synagogue Neve Shalom is often praised as a symbol that religions coexist peacefully in Suriname.
