In 1991, the Muslim Charitable Society of Paranavai was founded, as a social welfare entity, and later the first mosque in the city and ParanavaĂ was inaugurated. The mosque has only one first floor. Its architecture of unusual forms in the urban context where it is located makes it easily noticeable. It features a minaret and a dome. The white colour predominates throughout the construction, with the exception of the dome and some details with gold paint. The mosque also features a courtyard and garden with a water fountain.
