Bweyogerere Noor Mosque is a privately-financed project intended for the local community. The building’s design is simple and its lack of ornate features sets it apart from many contemporary mosques.
The building was designed to serve as both a place of worship and instruction, providing visitors with a wide selection of books, publications, lectures about Islam, and Arabic courses. On top and in the bottom of the wall niches are bookcases and shoe racks, respectively. Reinforced concrete, steel trusses, wood for the roof, and plaster are the main building components.
