Universiti Brunei Darussalam Mosque is located in Kampong Rimba, Sur Road about 16km from Bandar Seri Begawan. The mosque was built in 1992 on the site of a land area of 2032 hectares and completed in 1994 at a cost of $ 7,600,000.00. mosque is the gift of His Majesty Paduka Seri Baginda Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah and proceeds from the collection of the public. On the 19th. Rabiulakhir, 1416 corresponding to 15th. September, 1995, the mosque was officially opened by His Majesty Paduka Seri Baginda Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam. Capacity mosque can accommodate 1,800 worshipers
