The Bishkek Central Mosque, the one of largest in Central Asia. Its area is more than 4,000 square meters, the height is 38 meters, and its 70-meter-tall minarets are stretching up to the sky. Construction of the mosque lasted six years and cost $25 million, it was opened in 2018.
The mosque is built in an Ottoman revival style, with four minarets, each with three balconies. The mosque itself resembles the famous Kocatepe Mosque in Ankara. The mosque has a capacity of 9000 people in the closed space, and 30,000 people overall. The building is completely lined with marble; it was specially brought from Turkey. Inside, the mosque is adorned with intricate tile work and delicate chandeliers that illuminate the prayer hall.
