Also Known as Mezquita Basharat (Spain) or Masjid Basharat, the foundation stone of Basharat Mosque was laid by Hazrat Mirza Nasir Ahmad (3rd Caliph) on October 9th 1980, making it the 1st Ahmadiyya mosque in Spain since the end of the 800 year Muslim era (711-1492 AD) till the end of the 15th century known as the ‘Spanish inquisition’. It was inaugurated on September 10, 1982 in Pedro Abad, province of Córdoba by Hazrat Mirza Tahir Ahmad . The mosque is the central headquarter of Jamat Ahmadiyya Spain. The annual gathering known as Jalsa Salana is celebrated in Pedro Abad. The mosque has one dome and two minarets.
