This mosque located on Lyndavale Drive was founded by the Alice Spring Islamic Society. The Afghan Mosque in Alice Springs, built by descendants of the Afghan cameleers in late 1800s, it was closed during World War II and then rebuilt in 1960. The mosque is composed of two main buildings. The main materials used on the façade are red bricks and a rectangular minimalist minaret on the side.
