Al-Fateh Mosque is located in Manama, Bahrain’s capital, and is part of an Islamic centre which includes the mosque, a department for Qur’anic studies and an Islamic library.
The huge dome that is built on top of the Al-Fateh Mosque was constructed entirely of fibreglass and has twelve stained glass windows. The dome is flanked by two minarets. The marble used in the floors and part of the walls of the mosque is Italian. The central chandelier was from Austria and is surrounded by numerous hand-blown round lamps made in France. The doors were made of teak wood from India. Throughout the mosque is Kufic calligraphy.
