The mosque called the heart of Chechnya because it is located in the very center of the capital of Chechnya Grozny, and its background the impressive mountains view of the country. The design of the mosque was inspired mainly from the blue mosque in Turkey which is obvious from the architectural elements of the mosque, and Turkish Architects participate actively to build this architectural masterpiece.
The interior of the mosque was full of amazing paintings of both organic and synthetic origin, also, some inscriptions from Qura’an were drawn using gold sheets. On the perimeter of the base of the main dome with a golden spray ligature is written 99 names of Allah. All the paintings of the mosque were done by the Turkish master Semih Irtesh and his firm Mimar Nakkas who used special synthetic and natural paints.
The most mesmerizing elements in the mosque are the chandeliers, there are 36 pieces and each one of them represents the main Muslim holy mosques. 27 of them resemble the shape of Qubbat Al-Sakhra mosque in Jerusalem, and others refer to significant elements like the green
dome of Masjid Nabawii in Madina. The main chandelier which is the largest (8 meter) under the main dome of the mosque, resembles the sacred Kaaba. The entire unique collection of chandeliers which is done by the Turkish firm (Ustun Avice) took several tons of bronze and 2,5 kg of pure gold and more than 1 million parts of Swarovski crystal.
