
Sultan Mahmud is an Urban, Rural and Regional Planner, received his Bachelor Degree from Khulna University, Bangladesh in 2010, on Urban and Rural Planning and MSc from Technische Universität Dortmund, Germany and Universidad Austral de Chile, Valdivia, Chile on Regional Development Planning and Management with an specialization of Environmental Economics under Spatial Planning for Regions in Growing Economics (SPRING) Programme. He is a German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) Alumni.
Sultan has a diversified work experience in the fields of Urban Planning, Disaster Preparedness and Management, and Research and Development in Bangladesh with different national and international organizations such as ADPC, UN-HABITAT, EGS and EC Bangladesh. He is an active member of Bangladesh Institute of Planners (BIP) and SPRING International Association for Development Planners (SIADP).
