El Tasamoh mosque


History


The al Tasamoh mosque, located on a plot in the area of Sanhadja, a village which is part of the governorate of Mannouba, is a project recently designed by the TASEGDA Architecture Agency - "Akram Bsila". A beautiful realization of a sacred architecture project, which once again proves how rich the contemporary creation of places of worship is and continues to fascinate architects.

Urban and Architectural


The project was primarily an opportunity to respond to the desire to participate in the adoption of a new approach in the conception of mosques in Tunisia  and changing the attitude of the population toward the traditional exterior forms of these buildings and going beyond the richly decorated spaces this aspect of mosques whose image encumbers the collective memory. With this in mind, the mosque has been designed to combine the fundamental bases in terms of spaces. and elements with high symbolic value like the Minbar, the Mihrab, the Minaret and the Prayer Hall ... with a sober and contemporary architectural style.

More precisely, the mosque has a simple geometry. derived from a minimalist architectural attitude resulting in a purified global atmosphere. free from any substance or heavy shape, and this choice to avoid ornamental elements . and overcoming complexity stems from a reflection on the relationship between the essential and the functional. Indeed, the mosque was conceived as a space that helps to reflect, meditate, and relate directly to God . to increase emotionally and spiritually . evade the material being and release unnecessary material worries.  exclude everything trivial and focus specifically on the essentials.
