Ramlie Musofa Mosque

History

The mosque, which was built by Haji Ramlie Rasidin, started in 2011. The construction took 5 years to complete and was inaugurated on May 15, 2016.

The history of its construction is, this mosque is Ramlie's dream since he was young in the early 1970s. Since embracing Islam, Haji Ramli dreamed at one point to build a beautiful mosque with a mixture of cultural elements and magnificent ornaments.

The dream has finally come true after 40 years later.

The construction time is fairly long because some of the materials are directly imported from Turkey and Italy. The marble is slippery and the stones are not brought in all at once.

Plus the detailing and some carvings such as the dome and the interior also take a long time.

Urban and Architectural

The architecture of this mosque at a glance resembles and imitates the style of the Taj Mahal in India, as long as the beauty of the ornament is a combination of three cultures, namely Malay, Arabic and Chinese
