Hira Mosque
History
In 1997, ICOJ set up the mosque in Gyotoku, Ichikawa city of Chiba insight by acquiring a two-storey building which was a bar prior. Amid 2003-2004 the mosque building was reconstructed looking at the need to increase the capacity as well as poor condition of the building due to the age of building. The modern Hira Mosque has been built, with a capacity of over 200 persons.

The building has 3 floors, and the allocation of each floor is as follows.
- 1st floor: Place of worship for women
- 2nd floor: Place of worship for men
- 3rd floor: office / classroom

Hira Masjid is a mosque (Islamic religious facility) located in front of Gyotoku Station in Ichikawa City , Chiba Prefecture . It was founded in 1997 under the leadership of the Islamic Circle of Japan (ICOJ)through fund-raising activities by Muslims who lived in the area. It was renovated in 2005 and looks like a mosque as it is today.
With the establishment of the mosque , the number of Muslims living in the area has continued to increase year by year, and many halal restaurants and shops have opened around Gyotoku
