Urban and Architectural

Inspired by the many mosques in Cairo, Egypt, which is famously known as the City of Minarets, the mosque’s design was based on an initial idea of the sultan where he noticed that chapels are commonly located close to many palaces.

Description

Linked by a bridge at the side of the palace building, the mosque is set in a rectangular projection, over three-storeys. It is noted for its pointed light-weight glass fibre ribbed patterned dome with a tapered pinnacle and a 36 meter-tiered minaret.
