Those who play a role in voicing the rights of Muslims, including in Australian politics. There is no definite information about the date of construction of the mosque.

However, in the Australian national archives there is a photo of a building identified as a mosque named Masjid Malaysia on Christmas Island. In the photo taken in 1938, it appears that the building has become the center of Muslim activity. However, the shape is not the same as the current at-Taqwa Mosque.

The Malay mosque in the photo looks very traditional and very Malay. The extent is not much with the marker of the mosque in the form of a small crescent at the top.

Urban and Architectural

Because Muslims in the Island are dominated by ethnic Malays, the shape of the mosque is very similar to mosques in Indonesia. The roof is not dome-shaped by conical. The mosque is very simple with standard size. There is a tower with a unique shape that towers so that it can be seen from a distance. Shady coconut trees green the environment around the mosque. Panorama of the sea can be seen from the mosque. As a result, although not magnificent, the mosque is well-present in the landscape.

Description
