History

The cathedral mosque of Noyabrsk is the largest in the Tyumen region and one of the largest in Yamal. This long-awaited, and therefore expensive gift was made to the residents of Noyabrsk in 2004 on the occasion of the City Day. There are flowerbeds near the most beautiful building of the mosque, green plants bloom inside, which people specially grew to decorate the building.

 The decision to build a temple for Muslims was made in March 1997, and in May 1998 the first piles of the mosque were driven. When there were not enough budgetary funds to continue the grandiose construction, sponsored enterprises, entrepreneurs and townspeople came to the rescue.

 The opening of the Muslim Cathedral Mosque took place in October 2004. The celebration was attended by the highest clergy of the Tyumen region, the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug.

Urban and Architectural

The temple complex is designed for 360 seats, 160 women and 200 men can be at the same time. To date, this is the first large mosque in the region, the press service noted.

 The mosque will become part of the Central Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Russia on the basis of an agreement concluded with this organization by the administration of the YNAO, the source added. By the decision of the Duma of Noyabrsk, the mosque was transferred to the November Muslim religious organization Magrifat.

 The Muslim school at the mosque teaches Arabic and Islam, and teaches to read the Koran.
