Baiken Mosque
History
The mosque, built on the initiative of the President of Kazakhstan - Nursultan Nazarbayev, was named in honor of the prominent statesman - the Chairman of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the Kazakh SSR - Baiken Ashimov.
Urban and Architectural
The mosque is a single-domed, 4-tower, two-story structure with men's and women's toilets under the mosque and a two-story parking lot underneath. 2200 people can pray in the mosque at the same time. On the south side of the second floor of the mosque, there is a prayer room for women.
