Mosque Orbita
History
The mosque in the "Orbita" microdistrict appeared relatively recently, but since the population density is quite high here, it should be said that it appeared very conveniently. Believers now do not need to go far to pray, and for everyone else, the new mosque will serve as a reminder of the faith and spiritual traditions of the Kazakh people.
Urban and Architectural
The mosque consists of two spacious prayer halls, in addition to which it has the second and basement floors, where there are rooms for prayer and for conducting educational classes on the basics of Islam. Both externally and internally, the mosque looks very strict and concise, combining simplicity and grandeur. Interesting interior solutions, a pleasant color scheme, which does not irritate the eyes and does not distract from prayer, are used in the decoration of the interior. The lamp looks a little strange in the daylight. There are traditional details of Muslim mosques - crystal chandelier, carpet on the floor, white columns.
The exterior of the mosque attracts attention in that, in addition to the large dome, it has three smaller domes, which are located in the western part of the mosque and are practically invisible from the street. The courtyard of the mosque is not particularly large (there was enough territory in a densely built-up area), therefore, on Fridays, numerous parishioners completely fill its entire space.
