Burnaevskaya Mosque


History


It was built in 1872 by the Muslim community of the city according to the project of the architect P.I. Romanov in the forms of eclecticism of the national romantic direction. Erected at the expense of the merchant M.K. Burnaev. The minaret was built according to the project of F. N. Malinovsky and L. K. Khroschonovich.

Urban and Architectural


A brick one-story building similar to a one-hall mosque-jami with a minaret above the entrance. Elements of medieval Tatar and Russian architecture were used in the design of the facades.

 The building has a neat, elegant design, both outside and inside. It is made of bright, red brick and is not covered with plaster on top. The object has survived to our time in its original form. It was decided not to plaster the walls, preserving their coloring. The facades of the building are represented by traditional ornaments of Tatarstan. From this, the overall appearance looks quite elegant and catchy. The main decoration of the minaret is the crescent moon. Its two horns act as a pointer to Mecca. Recall that Mecca is the main sacred place for Muslims.

 The exterior is tastefully decorated, it is comfortable here. The predominant colors are green and yellow. Minaret dome, window frames painted green. there is a fairly comfortable atmosphere. The halls are equipped with high arched windows that add solemnity to the overall atmosphere.

 The shape of the main building is a rectangle. The monastery consists of only one floor. In not organized two small halls for prayers. Both rooms communicate with each other. This is done so that on Fridays the temple can accommodate the maximum number of people. On this day, services are held for all comers, and the flow of parishioners is quite large.
