Rashid Mosque

History

The mosque was built in 1992-94 at the expense of a major philanthropist Faiz Galminov and named after his mother. This mosque is one of the best examples of modern Muslim architecture in Russia.

The monument "Ya-Sin" - a memorial sign, is an octagonal stele 25 m high, each side of which is fixed with a metal pylon. Between the pylons, not adjacent to them, there are 96 (12 on each side) plates of polished stainless steel with slotted text.

Urban and Architectural

The shape of the mosque is unconventional, but all the canons of Islam are observed in it. In plan, the mosque looks like a flower with five petals: three of them turn into domes, and the remaining two into minarets on the sides. Architect Ilyas Tazhiev is a well-known architect who also built a mosque on Poklonnaya Hill in Moscow.

At the mosque there is Mәktabe "Rashidә".

The mosque has two minarets. The domes are covered with copper and will acquire the characteristic green color of the patina over time.

The monastery was built in the form of a flower with five petals, decorated with emerald and white marble. This layout of the building was chosen due to the fact that it was a gift for the mother, whose name the mosque itself bears. The building impresses with its architecture and size. At the entrance to the mosque there is a monument to Muslims who were executed by the Soviet authorities for their faith. Next to it there is a whole complex, which includes interesting and modern buildings of the club, clinic and museum, which describes the history and nature of the area.
