History

The mosque that represents a cultural and educational center has been opened in 2000. One may call it a pearl of the city. According to the historical records, Barnaul hosted an old mosque and a madrasa, which were completely ruined. Thousands of Muslims live in the city today. And they actively participate in the development of the Altai Krai.

Urban and Architectural

The Mosque has 5-meter dome and two 25-meter minarets. The buildings are interconnected by a small passage-gallery. Nearby is a two-story administrative building and a room for ablutions.

 The interiors of the Barnaul Cathedral Mosque are designed in the traditional oriental style. The mosque is topped by a huge dome, hanging over the believers like the sky.

Description

The yard is covered with cellophane, and carpets are laid on top of it.
