Songo Mnara Small Mosque
History
The town wall mosque is 80 meters to the south of this small mosque. The mosque and gatehouse that are part of the town wall indicate the northern edge of this entrance, which is located south of the town's main entrance from the sea.
Urban and Architectural
The plan is the most logical conclusion from the existing evidence. On a qibla line of 010 degrees, a freestanding prayer hall with a size of 6.0 × 5.0 meters is visible. The mihrab apse's front could not be seen, but the structure's back is still standing.
Description
This little mosque at the location is next to a group of daub houses, suggesting that it served as the neighborhood mosque for this section of the community.
