Alice Springs Afghan Mosque


History


In the 1960s, Omar Satour and Muslim community of Alice Springs established their first mosque in the area of Larapinta. A white roof covers the building.

Urban and Architectural


The mosque is composed of two main buildings. The main materials used on the facade are red bricks and a rectangular minimalist minaret on the side.

Description


This mosque located on Lyndavale Drive was founded by the Alice Spring Islamic Society.
