History
Construction took two years starting January 2009 and was completed in May 2011.

The mosque covers an area of 2,159.9 square meters on the site of Balai Musolla and Balai Nobat, Istana Alam Shah. There is space for weddings and weddings. The three-storey mosque has a design featuring old mosques in Cairo , Egypt . A 36-meter tower was built and four gates , with its main gate overlooking Istana Alam Shah decorated with handcrafted tiles from Turkey , personally chosen by the Sultan of Selangor.
The mosque is designed as an open mosque because most of the interior space is not walled to increase ventilation while reducing the use of air conditioners.
