El Tratado de arquitectura hispanomusulmana es un libro que analiza la formación y desarrollo de las mezquitas hispanomusulmanas, así como su relación con las mezquitas de Oriente y el Norte de África. El libro se centra en la dualidad entre iglesia y mezquita, y en cómo los edificios pasaron de una religión a otra. También se analiza la frontera entre el templo visigodo y el mozárabe, y cómo el templo mudéjar fue un mensajero del arte de la mezquita.
