Gaddafi National Mosque
History
The completed mosque was opened officially in June 2007, as it housed the head offices of the Uganda Muslim Supreme Council.
In 2013 the mosque was renamed to "Uganda
National Mosque" following the death of Colonel Gaddafi as
the new Libyan administration was "reluctant to rehabilitate the mosque
under the old name.

The mosque is linked to Uganda Muslim supreme council.
Location:
at Kampala Hill in the Old Kampala area of Kampala, Uganda.
Facilities:
prayer hall that fit for 15000 worshipers, gallery 1100 user, a terrace will cater that fit 3,500.
Architecture:
twelve arches each with a 4.9-meter hight , five domes and one minaret with a height of 50.5 meters.

Description
Colonel Muammar Gaddafi of Libya commissioned the mosque as a gift to Uganda, and for the benefit of the Muslim population. Uganda has many mosques but this one is a skyscraper mosque.
