Omar Mosque, also known as Centro Islámico de Baja, is located in the city of Tijuana, Mexico. It opened in 2013 and operates in a commercial building, meaning that it was not built with the purpose of being a mosque and therefore lacks traditional elements such as a minaret and dome. However, its facade has been adorned with paintings that resemble the portals common in Arab architecture.

The Panorama of religions in Mexico, carried out by the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (Inegi), with the 2010 census which will be updated next year, states that at that time there were 190 people who professed Islam in Baja California. The same institute in its report The religious diversity in Mexico, with data from 2000, counted less than 1,500 Mexicans of Islamic faith, and stated that this religion was the most widespread in the world after Christianity.

The mosque in Playas de Tijuana has been around since 2013, Omar has been there for a year and a half, and seems to confirm that the numbers are growing, although being a Muslim has not been easy for some time.
