The Baitul Awal Mosque is the 1st Ahmadiyya Mosque located in Petropolis, northern town from Rio de Janerio. In Petrópolis, the community has about 30 people who frequent the space. There, besides the Mosque itself (which is the hall where the prayers take place), the large building houses a library, a guest house, a social area, and a parking lot. The place is maintained with the help of the Ahmadiya headquarters – in London – and also with donations.
