The Nur-E-Islam Mosque is located in the city of San Juan, Trinidad and Tobago. The two-storey building has approximately 1000m2 and 4 minarets. Although it does not have a dome over the main prayer room, a false cupola was placed over the main entrance. The Islamic architecture that is seen today was built after the Indians arrived in Trinidad as recently as the mid-19th century. The first buildings were made of bamboo and/or wood.
