_Tsingoni Mosque

Information

The mosque of Tsingoni in the West of Mayotte was originally built in 1538, is the oldest active mosque in France and it is now a part of the national heritage.

The Tsingoni mosque completed in 1538, is the spiritual symbol of the establishment of the Muslim religion in the l’île aux parfums island. Sultan Issa native of Persia has built the Royal mosque.
