The name of the mosque chosen was inspired by a sura in the Quran, At-Tin. The architects chosen to design the mosque are both well-known architects in the country (father and son), Fauzan Noeman and Achmad Noeman.
The mosque, which is close to a Turkish touch, looks majestic and modern. The mosque is vaulted, in contrast of Ahmad
Noe’man’s earlier mosques design without a dome. At-Tin Mosque is designed with a main dome in the centre of the building and ornament “Allah” on top of the dome, in addition to four small domes in each corner at the top of the minarets. The façade portion features three vertical-upward pointed shapes representing the main entrance.
