The Schorndorf Central Mosque (Merkez Camii), also known as the Schorndorf Mosque, is a mosque in Schorndorf operated by the German Institute for Religious Affairs (DITIB) and is one of the mosques in Germany with a minaret. It is located at Hammerschlag 20 (73614 Schorndorf) and is operated by the Turkish-Islamic Union of the Institute for Religious Affairs (DITIB). The mosque was completed in May 2005 after five years of construction and planning and is financed through donations and voluntary contributions from its members. The cost was just under one million euros.

In addition to the large prayer hall, the building houses numerous infrastructure rooms, assembly rooms, washrooms, offices, etc. The prayer niche (mihrab) is made of stone and set into the wall. The pulpit (mimbar), lecture platform (kursi), and mahfil (dikka) are made of ornate woodwork. The mosque has a minaret. The architectural style is strikingly modern, with large glass facades that allow plenty of light into the building. The large window facing the exterior features calligraphy depicting the names of the Prophet Muhammad (s.) and the Rightly Guided Caliphs. The prayer room is designed for approximately 200 worshippers. On the outside of the gallery facing the women’s area, the 99 most beautiful names are inscribed.
