It is the first mosque built in the city since 1492. The Main Mosque of Granada is composed of three distinct elements: the garden, the prayer hall, and the center of Islamic studies. The garden is overlooks the valley of the Darro river. The main mosque has been decorated with sober elements taken from Islamic artistic traditions. The minaret is a tower of proportions and silhouette genuinely albaicineras. the Centre for Islamic Studies contains a library with texts on Islam in Arabic, Spanish and other languages, as well as audio-visual media. Also, it includes a conference room for 140 person, and exhibition. the reception area contains a book, craft, and souvenir shop of the mosque.
