Dearborn Mosque is a mosque belonging to the American Muslim Society in Dearborn, Michigan. It was built in 1937 and was only the second mosque constructed in the United States. At that time, the mosque only consisted of the ground floor. In 1952, the mosque expanded to a second floor, comprised of a prayer hall, a lecture hall, and an administrative office. The dome and two small minarets were added in 1957. another expansion happened in 1986, 2000 and 2005.
Currently, the building is three stories high and almost an entire city block on the intersection of Vernor and Dix Streets.
