The Great Mosque, with its two minarets and the high dome, is located at the Bassette, industrial area of Ravenna, a multi-religious city in northern Italy, characterized by an intense intercultural dialogue. The final cost was around € 1.4 million, for the payment of which the entire community has contributed. In addition, there were numerous external economic contributions both from Muslims living in Italy and abroad, as well as from Foundations and Charity such as Qatar charity who donated 800,000. The Centre of Islamic Culture and Studies of Romagna (CCSIR) is managing the mosque, guided over the years of the construction of the mosque by the Iraqi Basel Hamed.
