This work addresses the construction of belonging in Naqshbandi Haqqani Sufi groups in the cultural tissue of Argentina. The analysis is carried out in the light of religious transnationalisation, dealing with the result of the circulation of objects and symbols with Sufi significance by individual promoters, or with the (re)-location network of Sufi spaces in local territories. To carry out this analysis we have used the histories of the different Sufi turuq in Argentina, and the circumstances in which belonging is materialised today. The work is based on interviews of members and observation in various communities. To reflect on how belonging is constituted in these groups, we re-open discussions on the relationship between culture and identity, or rather how this relationship is disrupted.
