Baitul Makmur Tanjung Uban Grand Mosque

Baitul Makmur Tanjung Uban Grand Mosque is the largest mosque in Bintan Island and is located in Simpang Makam Pahlawan, Tanjung Uban, Riau Islands Province, Indonesia.

This mosque has a unique architecture, both on the exterior and interior. One of its uniqueness lies in the colourful ornaments, and also the colourful courtyard. Baitul Makmur Tanjung Uban Mosque adopts a modern architectural style combined with traditional architecture.

On the exterior, the mosque is coated with paint with striking colours so that it looks eye-catching. The colourful nuance is very pronounced on the outside of the mosque, the paved yard is also decorated with beautiful paint colours. The presence of a garden in the yard of the mosque further beautifies the atmosphere and creates a natural feel.

It has five domes, with a main dome and four small domes that surround it. These domes are made of mild steel, and rustproof. The main dome has a diameter of 9 meters, decorated with colourful ornaments that symbolize the diversity of tribes and nations of Muslims.

The mosque can accommodate up to 3,000 worshippers in the main hall, as well as 6,000 in mosque courtyards.
