ملخص: تعتبر الرحلات من أهم المصادر التي تمدنا بمعلومات قيمة في مجالات متنوعة و متعددة و يرجع ذلك لدقة ملاحظات الرحالة ، و كذلك غزارة المعلومات المدونة في كتبهم بسبب تسجيلهم لكل هذه الملاحظات التي تصادفهم في طريق رحلتهم ، و تعتبر كتب الرحلة الفرنسية من خاصة الرحلات التي كانت متوجهة نحو بلاد الشام عامة و فلسطين خاصة و ذلك لأنها مركز حجهم المسيحي و توجد بها معظم المقدسات الدينية ، و على رأسها كنيسة القيامة التي يوجد بها القبر المقدس ، كما أنهم دونوا ملاحظاتهم حول المقدسات الإسلامية ووصفوها وصفا دقيقا خاصة المسجد الأقصى و الذي نجد داخله مسجد قبة الصخرة ، و هو من أجمل مساجد العالم و لذلك سنحاول في هذه الدراسة المعلمين الدينيين الرائعين مسجد قبة الصخرة و كنيسة القيامة من خلال رؤية الآخر خلال القرن 19م .
