يهدف هذا البحث إلى عمل توافق وربط بين أصناف المساجد والأطر التصميمية المتبعة فيها وذلكعبر أخذ أصناف مساجد المملكة العربية السعودية وإخضاعها لإطار نظري اتخذ في تصميمها والذييحدد كل من المرجعية التاريخية في التصميم وأثر الإبداع الفردي والجماعي في التصميم إذ تبين أن العملية التصميمية تبدأ من الأثر الإبداعي للمجموعة على الإبداع الفردي والذي في دوره يحدد المرجعية التاريخية المفضلة.
