Architect, Principle in Kumpulan Senireka

Nik Mohamed Mahmood graduated from College Art & Crafts Birmingham School of Architecture, United Kingdom in 1962. He then started practicing architecture with Malaysia’s Public Works Department (now known as JKR) between 1962 and 1973. It was during his service with JKR that he was entrusted to design the Bank Negara Malaysia’s Headquarters in Kuala Lumpur. In 1973, he became a partner with British architectural firm, Raglan Squire and Partners (RSP) from Singapore. In 1975, he established his own firm together with his partner Mr Tay Cheng Hsian. The firm at that time was located at Wisma Central Jalan Ampang, Kuala Lumpur. In 1991 the firm became a private limited company known as Kumpulan Senireka Sdn Bhd.

As the principal of the firm, he is directly and personally involved with all aspects of design to the completion of work. His passion towards architecture and art has been captured and portrayed in the book entitled ‘AMANAH’, a book about his architectural journey.
