Dr. Farouk Yaghmour is a holder of a Ph. D., Master and Bachelor degree of Architecture from the United States and Germany. Yaghmour has established Yaghmour Architects office in Amman-Jordan, Dubai-UAE and Bethlehem-Palestine. The practice was established in Amman in 1982 as a design and planning firm offering complete services in architecture, planning, interior design, renovation, landscape, supervision and construction management

Since the establishment of his office, Yaghmour actively seeks new design challenges; he has been focusing on designing diverse innovative architectural projects from various scales, where new ways are explored to integrate an organizing idea with the narrative, programmatic, aesthetic and functional essence of a building. He is a designer in charge of Public, Commercial, Residential Buildings Renovation , Rehabilitation and Planning of large scale sites.

Yaghmour has an extensive experience in the academic field, as he was the founder and Chairman for the Department of Architecture at Petra University, also a lecturer at the Department of Architecture, Faculty of Engineering, Jordan University and a Practicing Professor In the German Jordanian University.

Yaghmour has several publications that tackled Architecture, Environmental and urban planning issues. Yaghmour is a member of several Advisory Committees that work with the government of Jordan and Jordan Engineers Association, the main task of such committees is to give advice in professional and practice matters of Architecture and Planning and follow up the large-scale development projects in the country. He is always seeking to strengthen the relationship between the Profession and the Academia.
